How do you choose a good recipe for panini? There are so many recipes out there from so many chefs and cooks, and they can be found on so many websites. So how does one pick the best ones available? Of course you could try each and every one out to see which one suits you, but that would be much too labor intensive and would take quite a bit of time, not to mention expensive as well. So, are there certain things that you can look for, certain things that a recipe should have, in order to be able to select the best recipes and winnow out less desirable ones?
Firstly, try to pick the recipes that require ingredients which are easily available to you and which fit your budget. Now, some people take this to mean that you shouldn't pick anything too fancy and that anything simple will do. That is not necessarily the case. By all means, feel free to pick those recipes that contain really fancy stuff if that sort of thing works for you. Just think twice if you're going to have to go beyond your particular budget limitations in order to be able to put those panini together. The same goes for those ingredients that you may need to travel, say, five cities away to get. Again, if that is alright with you, then go right ahead and get them. Otherwise, go for the recipes that require ingredients that are easier to source.
Secondly, and once again this is subject to your particular preference, but when making panini and when referring to ingredients, the rule of thumb is less is more. Now, many really scrumptious recipes contain lots of ingredients, but in many cases lots of ingredients means a rather complex recipe that may just take a while to get done. Many people who make panini opt to do so because they are quick, easy and delicious. A rather complex recipe may not work for those people. In addition, an overstuffed panini may be a tad problematic to put together, especially if one is using a press.
So make use of these two ingredients' when searching for that perfect recipe for panini and you won't be disappointed!
